After the impressive progress the artists made on day 1, I wasn’t expecting there to be a huge amount of new art today, especially with ominous, rainy weather. After a lazy start and brunch with an old friend, I hit North Street to see what was happening on day two of the three day festival.
This is the weekend Europe’s creme de la creme of street artists descend on Bedminster and Southville. An entire weekend where last years artwork is replaced with fresh, original designs from the shocking and controversial, to Cheo’s Mr Men – Mr Graff, this year promises it all…
Last weekend the local artists, craft makers and performers of Southville and Bedminster opened their doors to the public for the South Bank Bristol Arts event. Over 60 venues including 40 private houses temporarily turned into galleries and performance spaces, inviting strangers inside to view their work. I decided to wander around the local area on the Saturday and check out what South Bristol has to offer.
On Tuesday I leave for Morocco. Marrakech first, and then travelling west to the coastal town of Essaouira. This will be my first trip to Morocco, so I’ve spent a fair bit of time researching and gathering inspiration. Below is a collection of images I’ve found and want to share with you. I’m hoping the real thing will be just as dreamy.
